The Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of Houston ("the Assembly," "we," "us") offers an SMS text messaging program that sends reminders about Feast dates, times, and locations, Holy Day observances, and occasional urgent community announcements to members and friends of the Houston Bahá'í community. By opting in, you agree to these Terms of Service.

This program is intended for individuals connected to the Houston Bahá'í community who wish to receive these reminders. You opt in by replying YES or START to our invitation, by verbally requesting to be added at an in-person community gathering, or through another method we make available. Consent to receive messages is not a condition of participating in any community activity, and it will never be shared with a third party for the purposes of marketing.

Message frequency varies, but you should generally expect one to two messages per month. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. We do not charge for these messages ourselves.

You may cancel this service at any time by texting STOP, CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, OPTOUT, STOPALL, or REVOKE to any message we send. After you send one of these keywords, we will send a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent unless you opt back in. You may resubscribe at any time by texting START or YES.

Text HELP or INFO for assistance at any time, or contact us directly at assembly@houstonbahai.org.

This program is available on most major US mobile carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Coverage and delivery may vary by carrier and location, and we cannot guarantee delivery of any individual message.

Our use of the information you provide through this program is described in our SMS Privacy Policy at [LINK TO PRIVACY POLICY PAGE], which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue this text messaging program at any time, and we may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued participation in the program after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

This program is provided as a courtesy to the community on an as-is, as-available basis. We make reasonable efforts to send accurate and timely information but do not guarantee that every message will be delivered or received in time, and recipients should confirm important details such as Feast times and locations through other community channels if a text is not received.

Questions about this texting program or these Terms of Service can be directed to the Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of Houston at assembly@houstonbahai.org.
